The Etching Progress for PCB ( Hardware)

Hi there, its been a while I didn't update my blog. Its because I have been quite busy to complete my etching process. First of all, its quite hard for me because I didn't do this etching process for a long time, if I"m not mistaken the last time I did it during my diploma. Ok thats a couple of years ago. Actually its quite hard for me to adapt the way to complete in good manner. So yesterday I'm trying to complete my etching process and the result is not really good because I did some small mistake but the result is so not fair to me. Then I trying to do it again as well. I will show the picture after I get the really better result. :)

Before that, theres a lot of problem I had encountered such as the way to design the circuit in a proper way, meaning the each width of line. You know what I'm trying to say right? Then I make some lists of problem that I encountered during to complete this process and of course some solution too.

  • Need to measure each size of the component by print out the layout. Urghh I hate this step actually because I can get dizzy after this. It is the important part because we need to find the right connection pins.
  • We need to make sure that the PCB's surface is clean and smooth in order to make the line of connection not broken or break in half way But the other solution we can touch up the line with permanent marker. (Make sure the colour of marker is black).
  • When we patching the paper with the iron, we have to be careful about the temperature so then the sticker paper will no be melt, or if the temperature is to low, the line of the connection will be broken because it cannot posted on the PCB.
  • After some time, we need to recheck the connection on PCB whether it is broke or not because we cannot turning back after we shake it with the acid.
  • Then we can check the connection of the line on the PCB by using the multimeter whether the connection is detected or not.

 make some component measurement

printed layout on sticker paper and PCB

wrap up tightly

get settt..

here we go..lalalaa continue it until satisfied

and the result is...I will show you later because like I told before there is some minor mistake

The line of the circuit is not looking so good..so I make my decision to make another circuit again
